Jae Crowder was perhaps a little too physical defensively for the officials to let go, and Cam Payne never really got a chance to make an impact Thursday night in Los Angeles.
Two of the Phoenix Suns' big heroes of their thrilling Game 2 victory, Crowder and Payne were largely non-factors in the Clippers' 106-92 win over the Suns in Game 3.
Payne, whose 29 points and nine assists on Tuesday were a tremendous lift for the Suns, left the game after the first quarter with a left ankle injury he sustained when he turned the ankle going for a loose ball near the sideline.
