The Phoenix Suns finished off their slate of preseason games Wednesday, beating the Los Angeles Lakers for the second time. Coming hot on the heels of a marathon 17 hour journey home from China, head coach Jordan Ott elected to rest all of his starters, allowing some players who have already staked a claim for a bigger role during preseason to once again impress.
One Suns player who grabbed the opportunity to start for the first time in their young career was 19-year-old center Khaman Maluach. In 31 minutes of action he contributed 17 points and eight boards, but it was the manner in which he had an impact on both ends of the court that should have The Valley excited about what the season has in store for him.
