If ever there was an advertisement for the Arizona State basketball program it came Wednesday night during Game 7 of a first round Western Division series, Houston Rockets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder.
It was the Rockets and veteran James Harden vs. the Thunder and undrafted rookie Luguentz Dort, a year and half removed from his playing days at Desert Financial Arena.
The Rockets survived and advanced with a heart-stopping 104-102 victory. They will next square off with the Los Angeles Lakers, but the contest marked a coming out party for Dort, who left ASU after his freshman year, only to go undrafted and have to settle for a two-way contract with the Thunder's G-League team.
