Goran Dragic came back from injury in time to face his former Phoenix Suns team and good friend and mentor Suns head coach Igor Kokoskov.
“We talk all the time but this is the first time I’m going to see him in a while,” Dragic said.
The two established a relationship after the Suns brought Dragic in for a pre-draft workout in 2008 run by Kokoskov when he was the Suns assistant coach. Dragic wowed the Suns in that practice and ended up getting drafted and playing in Phoenix from 2008-2011 and then came back to play from 2012-2015.
