You may remember Ish Wainright, who came into this season as one of the longest-tenured members of the Phoenix Suns. You know? Baylor University tight end? I’m sure you recall.
Wainright was waived by the Suns before the season as they trimmed down the roster to meet NBA requirements, and he ended up signing with a team that had two of his former teammates in Deandre Ayton and Toumani Camara. The Portland Trail Blazers’ scouting team must’ve loved the Suns’ roster last season.
Unfortunately for Wainright, however, he suffered an MCL sprain in November after playing in just two games for Portland.
