Former Phoenix Sun Charles Barkley announced Thursday that he is self-quarantining and awaiting coronavirus test results. He started a 48-hour quarantine period Wednesday, he announced in a phone interview on NBA on TNT Thursday.

Barkley said that he was in New York City earlier this week, and was feeling sick when he arrived in Atlanta Wednesday. He said he talked to doctors who told him to take precautions.

"I haven't been feeling great, and they didn't want me to take any chances, so they told me to quarantine myself for 48 hours," he said on the show over the phone.
