In late October last fall, Devin Booker watched as the city of Phoenix and the basketball world came together in honor of Steve Nash's induction into the Suns' Ring of Honor.
The rookie guard marveled as fans from all walks of life thanked the future Hall of Famer for his illustrious career in the desert. The spectacle proved to be an inspiring moment for the teenager.
In a recent interview with SLAM and our own Jeramie McPeek, Booker cited that night when speaking about how he envisions his career playing out.
"I love it in Phoenix, and I want to be one of those guys that gets drafted by one team and stays there the whole time," Booker said.
