As the Suns were on their way to beating Golden State, 112-106, before 15,216 fans at Talking Stick Resort Arena. Damian Lillard suffered a groin injury in Portland's 111-104 loss at Memphis.
A five-time all-star, Lillard said he won't play in Sunday's all-star game in Chicago and suggested Booker as someone who should be considered as his replacement.
Booker finished fourth in the player voting for the all-star starters, but didn't make as a starter or a reserve.
