Devin Booker leads way as Suns down Wizards in 'seeding' opener

Washington challenged throughout, but the Phoenix Suns took care of the Wizards, 125-112, to open their eight-game "seeding" schedule Friday at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex inside Walt Disney World Resort.

The Suns used a 16-0 run to take a 60-44 lead with 4:16 left in the first half as they outscored Washington, 21-4, from the free throw line in taking a 67-52 halftime lead.

Washington cut Phoenix's lead down to seven, but the Suns answered with a 15-7 run to go back up double figures, 85-70 with 3:29 left in the third quarter.

Devin Booker scored a game-high 27 points as the Suns, who were the "road team" on the Visa Athletic Center neutral court, avenged an November home loss to Washington.
