'Childish injury': Stubbed toe caused Devin Booker to miss Suns' loss to Magic

Phoenix Suns first-year coach Igor Kokoskov sand rookie 7-footer Deandre Ayton talk about Friday's 99-85 home loss to the Orlando Magic Duane Rankin, Arizona Republic

Devin Booker can at least laugh about it now in recounting how he injured his left toe in Los Angeles before Wednesday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

“I stubbed it in my hotel room,” Booker said. “Kicked it into the bed. Worst I ever have.”

Calling it a “childish injury,” Booker missed Friday’s game against Orlando after playing 35 minutes with the injury Wednesday, but he’s expected to play Sunday afternoon against the Los Angeles Lakers (13-9) at Staples Center.
