FLAGSTAFF — Deandre Ayton finished practice at training camp this week with a shooting session that ranged from quick releases in the lane to three-pointers from the top of the key.
Soon after he met with a gaggle of reporters and was asked what improvement would look like in his second NBA season.
"Improvement?" he asked. "I don't know. More dominance. That's it. Just being more consistent."
Around the Suns, the word "consistent" in all its forms comes up time and again regarding expectations for Ayton.
The Suns would be satisfied with slightly more dominance and a whole lot more consistency from Ayton in his second season.
