Larry Fitzgerald is now a part owner of the Phoenix Suns.
The Suns announced that the Arizona Cardinals wide receiver had purchased a minority stake in the team Wednesday morning.
Fitzgerald has been close friends with Suns managing partner Robert Sarver for years and reportedly sat in on interviews when the Suns involving the team's front office.
"I have a special place in my heart for the Phoenix Suns and Mercury, and I have a great deal of respect of Robert." Fitzgerald said in a statement. "He has become a dear friend and trusted confidante.
