Amar’e Stoudemire Retires a Knick, Completing NYC Failure After Phoenix Suns

The ninth overall pick of the 2002 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns, STAT averaged 18.9 points and 7.8 rebounds per game in his career.

Coming straight out of high school, the Orlando, Florida product spent his first eight seasons with the Phoenix Suns, winning Rookie of the Year in 2003.

Amar’e Stoudemire also made the all-star team six times in his career. Five of those appearances came with the Phoenix Suns. His only non-Suns all-star appearance was his very first season with the Knicks.
