Coyotes center Derek Stepan said he's been able to spend more time with his two kids and wife, Stephanie, amid the NHL's season pause due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking to reporters via conference call on Thursday, Stepan said he's been around to watch one of his children start to ride a bike — albeit with training wheels — for the first time.
Stepan also addressed the uncertainty regarding a potential return to the 2019-20 season, adding that his preference would be for some type of tournament to not leave the fringe teams on the outside of the playoff picture — such as the Coyotes — wondering what could have been.
