Standing near the Arizona Coyotes locker room on the lower level of Gila River Arena, Nathan Smith put his journey over the past two days into perspective.
"Pretty crazy," said the 23-year-old forward, who was introduced as the newest member of the Coyotes this afternoon.
On Saturday, he was on the ice at TD Garden in Boston, playing in the NCAA men's hockey national championship game with Minnesota State. Shortly after the 5-1 loss to Denver, he was on a plane to Mankato, Minnesota, where he slept and packed up his belongings before boarding another flight to Arizona that landed early Monday morning.
