Conor Garland scored a goal with two assists and a pair of Arizona Coyotes scored their first goals of the season, helping the Coyotes solve the Vegas Golden Knights after losing back-to-back games to them with a 5-2 win Friday night at Gila River Arena.
Nick Schmaltz scored his third goal in the past three games, and Christian Dvorak and Derick Brassard added goals for the Coyotes (2-2-1).
Darcy Kuemper stopped 29 of 31 shots he faced, and the Coyotes defense stood strong against the Golden Knights' size and power on shots to help Arizona win.
The Coyotes got off to a good start with Dvorak's first goal of the season.
