Game Day: Coyotes' Scott Wedgewood concussion-free, cleared to backup vs. Canadiens

Scott Wedgewood had a rough Tuesday night in San Jose.

After taking multiple slapshots off the helmet earlier in the game, the Coyotes backup goaltender was run over in his own crease by Sharks forward Timo Meier. Wedgewood was forced to leave the game and undergo concussion protocol.

Wedgewood spoke with the media after morning skate on Thursday and told the media that he passed concussion protocol and is cleared to resume backup goaltending duties. Wedgewood also said he does not believe the hit by Meier was intentional, contrary to the belief of many who chimed in on social media.
