Game Day: Adin Hill gets another start as Coyotes look to win fifth straight game

With Antti Raanta and Darcy Kuemper still battling lower-body injuries, Tocchet confirmed on Wednesday that Hill will start his fourth consecutive game as the team looks for its fifth win in a row when they host the Washington Capitals on Thursday.

Hill, 22, is 4-0-0 with a 0.56 goals allowed average and a .977 save percentage over five appearances since taking over for Raanta in the third period on Nov. 27 in Minnesota. He was named the NHL’s second star of the week for the period ending Dec. 2.

Hill also set the franchise record by a goaltender for the longest stretch to begin a season without allowing a goal (117 minutes, 23 seconds) before yielding one during Saturday’s game.
