The Coyotes were off to a flying start Saturday at Anaheim with two early goals, and Derick Brassard had just made it 3-0 with his second goal of the game and Arizona's first power play goal in six games.
The TV broadcast cut to a tight shot of Brassard embracing teammates, then quickly looking back toward the net and gesturing for something. Another cutaway, then back to Brassard, who was taking the puck from the goal out of an official's hand.
It wasn't a souvenir for himself. Brassard went on to register his first career regular season hat trick, and was presented that puck from his third goal of the night after the game.
