One prospect's game is certainly not enough of a gauge to determine just how good some of the future Arizona Coyotes will eventually be.
But Ben McCartney sure made a major impression.
The 20-year-old 2020 seventh-round pick shined for the Coyotes in their 5-2 win over the Vegas Golden Knights' prospects Friday night at Gila River Arena. McCartney, a forward from MacDonald, Manitoba, who played five games with the Tucson Roadrunners last season after being called up from the Western Hockey League's Brandon Wheat Kings, scored a power play goal, assisted on another and screened the goaltender on a third Coyotes tally to help Dylan Guenther score the second of his two goals.
