Armed with a family legacy, Brady Tkachuk prepares to make his own name in the NHL

Brady Tkachuk hears the noise. He hears the hype, and he hears the hate. But with a support system as big as the Tkachuk family, it’s only that – just noise.

For Brady, the youngest of two hockey-playing sons fathered by former Coyotes forward Keith Tkachuk, the road to becoming a consensus top-10 NHL draft prospect hasn’t been an easy one.

Still, the hardest part comes now, as the 18-year-old waits to find out which team will select him in Thursday’s draft.

In all likelihood, Brady will join his older brother, Matthew, who was selected sixth overall by the Calgary Flames in 2016, as the second Tkachuk selected in the first round in recent years.
