Arizona Coyotes' Richard Panik arrested outside Scottsdale nightclub

Coyotes winger Richard Panik was arrested April 8 outside of a nightclub in downtown Scottsdale, officials said.

Panik, 27, was arrested on suspicion of trespassing when he refused to leave the entrance to Bevvy, Scottsdale police said.

Panik appeared to be intoxicated during his first contact with officers, police said. He was booked into Scottsdale City Jail and later released on a criminal citation, police said.

Panik, a midseason acquisition by the Coyotes, had 19 points (eight goals, 11 assists) in 35 games with Arizona. Playing on the team’s top line with center Derek Stepan and rookie Clayton Keller, the winger finished the season with 11 points in the team’s final 12 games.
