Customer traffic was slow at James Earl Johnson's small business in Glendale on Tuesday afternoon. But a special guest had come for a visit, and Johnson was only too happy to provide a tour of his spacious downtown eatery, JJ's Louisiana BBQ.
The guest was Arizona Coyotes President and CEO Xavier Gutierrez, and he'd come bearing gifts, including an authentic Kachina-pattern Shane Doan Coyotes jersey.
The jersey, Johnson said, will go on a wall behind the front counter of the restaurant, and Gutierrez said Doan will sign it when he comes by for a visit. But the Coyotes executive wasn't just there for a quick presentation.
