Wiping the slate clean on the Union's first class of Homegrowns

The only club in MLS without a Homegrown Player on their roster has gone four years without signing a Homegrown and it would be even longer if Piotr Nowak hadn't thumbed his nose at the league and signed an ineligible player in March 2012. The Academy in its present form promises brighter days ahead.

Say what you want about Jordan Morris and the MLS hype machine that has already christened him an American star: his signing to the richest Homegrown Player contract in league history has raised the bar even higher for teams looking to develop a future star of their own.
