Philadelphia Union U18s face a familiar foe in Players Development Academy (PDA) in the quarterfinal round of the US Soccer Development Academy Playoffs. The game will be played at the Union Training Grounds at Talen Energy Stadium on Thursday, July 7, at 5 p.m. The Union and PDA have played twice this season, with each team winning once on the road.
The Union advanced to the quarterfinal round with a 2-1 record in group play in Frisco, Texas. The U18s earned two 2-0 shutout wins, including one over defending champion Chicago Fire. Although the Union lost 4-3 in their final game despite Manny Perez’s hat trick, they earned the top spot in Group G based on goal differential.
