Carli Llyod will always have a part of her in the City of Brotherly Love. The Philadelphia native will have an autographed jersey hung in the Talen Energy Stadium club, where she becomes the first woman to be recognized to celebrate the Philadelphia region’s rich soccer history.
“I’m honored to have my jersey be hanging here in Philadelphia,” Lloyd said. “Philadelphia soccer fans are passionate, true and genuine. It’s where my heart is, here, back home. I love being able to represent Philadelphia and New Jersey.”
Lloyd’s jersey will join Walter Bahr (1950 US Men’s National Team), Bob Rigby (1973 Philadelphia Atoms, NASL), while the Union expect to add Earnie Stewart & Chris Albright’s (USMNT) at a later time.
