Urban Affairs Coalition was recognized as Philadelphia Union’s Charity of the Match when the team faced off against Montreal Impact on April 22.

The Coalition started in 1968 as The Philadelphia Urban Coalition, and had the goal to eliminate poverty, discrimination and civic unrest.

After joining with The Urban Affairs Partnership and changing the name, the nonprofit’s goal is to unite government, neighborhood, business and individual initiatives to improve the quality of life in the region, as well as build wealth in urban communities and solve emerging issues.

For being named Charity of the Match, Urban Affairs Coalition received an award at halftime from Philadelphia Insurance Companies, one of the insurers of non-profits and the proud sponsor of the Charity of the Match.
