Union midfielder Alejandro Bedoya has been named to the 26-man roster that will train for the U.S. national team's World Cup qualifiers. The team met Sunday in Jacksonville, Fla.

Bedoya will miss the Union's game Saturday against the Fire in Chicago.

Since being signed Aug. 3, Bedoya has made four starts and the Union are 3-1 in those games.

He is the second Union player who will be out while he competes in World Cup qualifiers. Goalkeeper Andre Blake will miss his second Major League Soccer game this season on Saturday to be with Jamaica. John McCarthy will likely make his first MLS appearance of the season in goal against Chicago.
