The Philadelphia Union are down in the Peach State where they’ll open up their season series with Atlanta United FC later tonight. Even though they’re both Eastern Conference teams, the Union and Atlanta United only met twice last season, home and away. Atlanta grabbed a point on the road in their first meeting in late August, but the Union could not do the same when they went south a month later.
The Union head into this one riding their longest unbeaten streak of the season, beating the Chicago Fire, Real Salt Lake, and Montreal Impact and nearly beating the New York Red Bulls in the last three weeks.
