Union victory slips away in stoppage time

WASHINGTON - The Union's recent frustration continued Saturday night as they coughed up a late-game lead to settle for one point.

Surrendering a goal late in second-half stoppage time, the Union played to a 2-2 Major League Soccer draw against D.C. United at RFK Stadium.

While it snapped a two-game losing streak, the Union (8-8-7, 31 points) are now 1-4-2 in their last seven MLS games. United, which lost two games to the Union at Talen Energy Stadium, is 5-8-9.

A few minutes after Union keeper Andre Blake made two saves on a blast by Kennedy Igboananike and then the rebound by Lamar Neagle, United kept pressing in second-half stoppage time.
