The Philadelphia Union Academy U16 team was knocked out of the running for a spot in the Generation adidas Cup Championship Division after loss to D.C. United on Saturday night in Florida.
The Union made the Championship Division after a dramatic last minute win over New York Red Bulls last year, but will have to settle for the consolation Premier Division (where the other MLS teams that don't make it through regionals are placed) when they travel to Frisco, Texas March 18-26.
