The Union will be facing the New York Red Bulls twice in less than a two-week span, because of Thursday’s draw for the Round of 16 in the U.S. Open Cup.
On June 28, the Union will travel to Red Bulls Arena to face the Red Bulls at 7:30 p.m. The two also will meet Sunday in an MLS game at Talen Energy Stadium.
Both teams won their opening U.S. Open Cup games Wednesday. (MLS teams automatically earn a bye into the fourth round.) The Union beat the visiting Harrisburg City Islanders of the United Soccer League, 3-1.
