The Philadelphia Union were the first team in the MLS is Back Tournament to learn their Round of 16 opponent overnight with the results netting the club a matchup against the New England Revolution.
The Union will face off against the Revolution as a result of finishing second in Group A via goal differential while New England was the runners-up in Group C due to goals scored. The Union claimed seven points in their three matches of the group stage with wins over New York City FC and Inter Miami before a 1-1 draw with Orlando City SC.
