Union Still In The Hunt

Philadelphia Union fell to Orlando City SC 2-0 in front of a crowd of 18,007 at Talen Energy Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The loss drops Philadelphia’s record to 11-13-9 with 42 points on the season. The club returns to action next Sunday on MLS Decision Day against New York Red Bulls at Talen Energy Stadium.

Both clubs spent the majority of the first half trading opportunities. The Union created their best chance in the 31st minute thanks to the sixth overall pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft, Fabian Herbers. After receiving a pass from left back Fabinho, Tranquillo Barnetta found a pocket of space in the Orlando defense.
