When the Union take on Chicago Fire this Saturday, there will be a little something extra for fans to eat at select concession stands at Talen Energy Stadium.
The Union will be selling pepperoni rolls at concession stands outside sections 104, 112, 117 and 125. Pepperoni rolls were created in the 1970s as a lunch for coal miners, and has been a staple in the state's cuisine ever since.
The pepperoni roll sounds exactly like it should; a pastry filled with pepperoni and cheese. The bread is light and fluffy, and compliments the spicy pepperoni and creamy cheese.
