Andre Blake was forced to leave Wednesday's Gold Cup Final match between the US Men's National Team and the Jamaican National Team with an apparent hand injury.
Today, the club released an official statement:
"Andre Blake suffered a laceration on his hand last night during the Gold Cup Final. The injury required seven stitches in the web of his hand between his index finger and middle finger. Blake will be reevaluated when he returns to Philadelphia."
Blake left the match in the 24th minute.
Prior to his injury, Blake had been one of the best players in the Gold Cup, earning three clean sheets in five matches, while only allowing two goals the entire tournament.
