Union Re-Sign Warren Creavalle

The Philadelphia Union have re-signed midfielder Warren Creavalle for the upcoming season according to the team website. Creavalle, who was acquired from Toronto FC via trade for a second round SuperDraft pick, will bolster the Union's dangerously thin bench for the upcoming season.

Capable of playing midfield and fullback, Creavalle saw minimal action last season, but with the Union in the midst of over-hauling their roster Earnie Stewart and company clearly needed to fill out the roster with some familiar faces with the pre-season rapidly approaching. Creavalle's versatility is something that Stewart and Jim Curtin clearly valued as evidenced by Stewart's quote regarding the signing.
