Union in midst of longest winning streak in team history

With the Union's 2-1 victory against Colorado Rapids, the Union established the team's longest winning streak in franchise history with four games.

The win streak started on May 6, when the Union defeated New York Red Bulls 3-0 thanks to a hat-trick from CJ Sapong. The Union followed up the Red Bull match with a 4-0 victory against DC United, where the team had four different goal scorers; three of which scored their first career MLS goals (Haris Medunjanin, Oguchi Onyewu and Fafa Picault), while the fourth scored his first goal of the 2017 season (Fabian Herbers).
