Union II match postponed after positive Covid-19 test

The Philadelphia Union II season remains on hold after the postponement of their second straight match due to a positive Covid-19 test.

Union II was scheduled to face Hartford Athletic tonight at Subaru Park, but the game has been postponed.

“Proceeding with an abundance of caution, the postponement comes after a covered person in the Philadelphia Union II organization tested positive for COVID-19,” a statement from the organization reads. “The individual has been immediately isolated at home and is in good spirits under the care of team physicians.”

Union II last played against the New York Red Bulls II on August 5 in Chester, picking up their first win in interim head coach Marlon LeBlanc’s first match.
