Coming off the Union's 2-0 victory against Houston Dynamo and 2-1 victory against Colorado Rapids, the team extended their winning streak to four games and their unbeaten streak to six and have caught the eyes of some soccer folks. One of those is SBI, or Soccer by Ives.
In the website's weekly recap, the Union were named as the Team of the Week. The two victories against Western Conference teams were imperative for the Union in climbing the table, and getting three points against the then-first place team in the West was even more impressive.
Not only were the Union named Team of the Week, but Jack Elliott was also singled out as being especially solid for the team, as he was named Rookie of the Week.
