BALTIMORE - The Union drove down I-95 and decided to control the Major League Soccer SuperDraft. Already armed with the No. 3 and 6 picks in the first round, the Union acquired the No. 2 selection from the Colorado Rapids for general allocation money and a player to be named later.
The Union selected Georgetown defenders with their first two picks, Joshua Yaro at No. 2 and Keegan Rosenberry at No. 3.
"It's great to work with a wonderful organization," Yaro told the crowd at the Baltimore Convention Center.
The Union were denied the chance to have Rosenberry be a homegrown player, but they were still intent on adding a player, who they are very familiar with and who worked out with the team last year.
