Union Academy U-17s wrap up Brazil trip with strong results

Philadelphia Union Academy U-17 squad concluded their second tournament in as many weeks in Brazil over the weekend, playing five matches against South American competition in the U-17 Iber Cup Elite Porto Alegre.

Under the direction of new head coach Tobias Nubbemeyer, a total of seven players found the back of the net in the competition led by Philadelphia Union II forward Selmir Miscic's three goals. Patrick Bohiu followed closely behind with a pair of goals to anchor the Boys in Blue as they finished in sixth place in the Iber Cup competition.

The U-17s began the competition against Argentinian squad San Lorenzo, battling to a 1-0 victory that was followed up with a 5-0 win against Ec Guarani.
