The Philadelphia Union have found their new Sporting Director, the club announced in a statement today.
“We have identified and agreed to terms with our chosen candidate and are in the process of finalizing a contract with that candidate,” said the club about the candidate, whose identity isn’t public at this point. “When that process is complete, the club looks forward to making an announcement.”
Former Sporting Director Earnie Stewart was named General Manager of the US Men’s National Team in early June. In the two months that have passed since that announcement, the Union have not made a single roster move.
