After 500 minutes of shutting out opponents, the Owls defense conceded a free kick goal at the worst possible time in a double overtime loss to Columbia on the road Tuesday night.
Kynan Rocks scored on a left-footed strike in the 95th minute to sink the Owls and end goalkeeper Alex Cagle’s four-game shutout streak. Cagle made three saves while his counterpart Dylan Castanheira made five stops to record the clean sheet.
Temple (8-4-1) outshot the hosts 11-5 overall but were unable to find the back of the net, something that has plagued them now in all four of their losses and their one draw.
