With the preseason over and the Union focusing on the season opener against Vancouver, Head Coach Jim Curtin has a problem a coach is happy to have. He has yet to select a starting XI for the opener, with multiple players fighting for the final spot. One area highlighted during the preseason was between Derrick Jones, Warren Creavalle and Ronald Alberg in the attacking middle spot. Curtin believes he has the deepest team the Union has ever had, and because of that, there are tough decision to make on who will be in the starting spots in Vancouver.
“I think this is the deepest roster, 30 guys we’ve ever had,” Curtin said.
