PHILADELPHIA UNION manager Jim Curtin did not want to spend two weeks fretting over a missed opportunity, and that's exactly what he said would've happened had his team lost to the New England Revolution last Sunday in its home opener.
Although MLS only has one official international break - June 3-17 for the Copa America Centenario - the league has scaled back the number of matches for FIFA dates in March, September and October.
This weekend, MLS has only three games scheduled with the Union (2-1-0) having the time off. Philadelphia returns to action at the Chicago Fire on April 2.
