Bethlehem Steel FC Secures Second-Consecutive Trip to USL Cup Playoffs
Steel FC claims USL Eastern Conference playoff spot after knocking off Tampa Bay
BETHLEHEM, Pa. (October 14, 2018) – After wrapping up its regular season with a victory over the Tampa Bay Rowdies, Bethlehem Steel FC has captured its second-consecutive appearance in the USL Cup Playoffs.
Steel FC claimed the coveted playoff spot Sunday afternoon at Goodman Stadium on the campus of Lehigh University, defeating the Rowdies by a 1-0 scoreline. With the three points, Steel FC will finish either fifth or sixth in the Eastern Conference but won’t know its final placement until this evening upon the conclusion of New York Red Bull II’s match against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.
