Starting XI Notes: Blake returns and Herbers makes his first MLS start

Philadelphia Union will look to set a franchise record nine consecutive games unbeaten today against NYCFC. Head coach Jim Curtin is going with a lineup that has produced results all season.

The backline has the usual suspects in Ray Gaddis, Richie Marquez, Ken Tribbett and Keegan Rosenberry. The No.3 overall pick Rosenberry has played every minute this season. He is the only outfield player for the Union to do so and the only rookie in MLS to accomplish that feat. He is currently third in MLS All-Star voting for defenders.

With the departure of Vincent Nogueira, the platooning days for Brian Carroll and Warren Creavalle are over.
