In last night's match in the 66th minute, CJ Sapong made history.
Running in the box, Sapong headed a pass from Giliano Wijnaldum right on net. It hit the right post, but bounced right back into the middle of the box. Sprinting forward, Sapong made a sliding play on the ball, getting a good strike on it. He buried his shot, his 10th of the season.
His 10th goal was the first time he hit double-digits in goals, setting a new career-high. It's a career mark, and continues to show the dominance he's had for the Union this season, being arguably the team's most valuable player.
