Philadelphia Union forward CJ Sapong has rejoined the club for preseason training in Clearwater, Florida after earning his fourth cap with the United States Men’s National Team in a friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Sapong was just one of many new faces called into the USMNT’s annual January camp.
“It was a long month, but it was a great opportunity and I definitely appreciated getting to play with other guys from around the league,” Sapong said.
With a younger USMNT group, Sapong has learned several new skills from his teammates.
“It was a younger group so it was pretty cool seeing how they approach the game and different things that I felt I can assimilate to mine,” Sapong said.
